Noir of the Week

My question is this:

Most of the time, I know what the Noir of the Week will be. Should I put the title of the film on the Calendar along with who is reviewing it?

There are some problems with this. Some of our reviewers choose their movie days before writing and posting it... or change their mind at the last second. Others bail and can't make the deadline so I have to shuffle people around thus making another movie the NOTW.

Also, I think some like to be surprised by the picks.

However, it would be nice to know what movie was coming up so people could Netflix it or dig up a copy and watch it before the review is posted. That would generate more responses to the reviews.

another thing I should mention about NOTW responses....

I post the reviews on the Noir of the Week fan page:

and they usually get replies there

also on the blog itself there are replies that are fairly active (located at the bottom of each page)

So BAN isn't the only responses. I hope our reviewers look at all of them....

I do like the Idea of "Advance notice" and if you can not always do that , not a big deal , but cool to be able to possibly view some of them prior .

OK... a slight edge for YES. So what I'll do is put the title of the movie in the Calendar entry. Understand that the NOTW could change to another for a number of reasons...

I concur with advance notice. I like to try to watch movies that people are actively talking about.

OK... so if you want to know what movies are coming up you can look at the calendar here:

When you open up an event (labeled NOTW) you should see what movie is being done.

If you want to be surprised then you shouldn't click on the date. You will however see who is doing what week.
