So, Netflix FINALLY sends me Bad Girls of Noir and I am settling down to watch Night Editor before I fall asleep. It is late and so not to disturb my wife, I turn the sound kinda low and supplement it with subtitles, when what should appear but giant YELLOW subtitles popping up on my screen! Not sure what everyone else thinks, but IMHO nothing destroys the atmosphere of a beautifully shot black and white noir faster than garish yellow subs. I have seen this happen countless times on noir releases. Why do they do this? Don't they understand? Most noir is pretty dark anyway-white subs will show up fine. Aargh! Well, I will not watch these subs. If it's too loud, I'll just have to turn it off and watch it tomorrow. Sorry for the rant, but this has happened too many times.

That's a really good point. I hate yellow subs too. They should always be white. I don't know if it's Sony's decision but it ALWAYS looks bad.
