The Eddie Muller story/interview is just fucking priceless, The Big Leak. I love Eddie Muller, well who doesn't, his commentary on Born To Kill is just priceless!

    http://www.eddiemuller.com/tierney.html

"What are you guys," he roared, "a bunch of fucking cocksuckers?"

I recently watched Custer of The West, Tierney plays General Phillip Sheridian, I'll take Tierney anywhere, anytime. He also has a small part (oooh er Missus) in Val Lewton's Ghost Ship.

I love the old Tierney in Prizzi's Honor .

Eddie I hope you don't sue me or slap me upside the head for posting the link to The Big Leak.

He was something else. His look-alike brother Scott Brady was in quite a few noirs as well... but he wasn't nearly as interesting to watch.

    autographed still
I watched The Hoodlum last night with Lawrence and his other brother Edward, who's even less interesting than Scott. Poverty row budget but Lawrence makes it all worth while!

I think what makes Tierney more fascinating than most of the other noir bad boys is that what you saw on the screen was pretty much the real thing. He spent many, many nights in jail for barroom brawling and had a very bad temper, especially when he had been drinking (which was most of the time). I know that Mitchum was also an off-screen brawler but he could also be a charmer. Tierney was the one guy that I really would not have wanted to meet in a dark alley; watching him up on the screen is close enough!

We missed Larry's B-day -- ironically the site went to s*** on his birthday.

    He was something else...

OK, I met Larry 'back in 1997. I asked to get a picture. He was sitting and I kneeled down for the picture. He barked at me "What are ya tryin' to do, sit on my lap? I ain't Santy Claus!" Yes, he was a bit intimidating!
