The Paramount version of "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers" has a bit more detail not scrubbed out by DNR but a few more artifacts. This DVD version still seems to be the best copy available. I wonder if Paramounts plans a blu ray release?Originally Posted by Jeff-Bob

Escape in the Fog (1945) is set for a July 3 release via Sony's MOD program.
Be pretty cool if they did , looking at the screens seems they have the best Picture quality with the dvd , be nice to have them get out a blu-ray .
According the folks that run the Warner Archive page, The Las Vegas Story (1952) "will most likely be available sometime later this year."
Warner Bros is re-releasing three Joan Crawford noirs (Mildred Pierce, Possessed and The Damned Don't Cry) in one of their adjective-laden "Greatest Classic Legends Film Collection" four-packs on June 26. It's priced under $20 at Amazon, which is a great deal if you don't already have these films.
Fox just released "Diplomatic Courier" with Tyrone Power. This has only be previously available as a Region 2 European release and on collectors' sites. Great movie!
Close-Up (1948) is being released by Alpha in July:
The lost film noir classic. A photographer accidently photgraphs a Nazi war criminal on the streets of New York and becomes a target for reprisals and murder.
Slattery's Hurricane (1949) - a subject of "noir or not" article by Eddie Muller, is getting a made-on-demand release from Fox in July.

When asked about a possible release of the Anthony Mann noir Two O'Clock Courage (1945), here's what Warner Archive had to say:
"we're pleased to report that indeed Warner Bros. does own the rights, and that WAC intends to release the feature if the existing source elements can yield a high quality remaster."
well, the one shown at Noir City was fantastic looking!
On July 17 Warner Archive is releasing five of Gene Kelly not-musical titles, including Black Hand and The Devil Makes Three.
On not noir-related note, The Hanging Tree is also coming out that day.
just watched Two O Clock Courage on TCM and except for the foggy night opening & the
amnesia element it's not noir at all, 2 years and 2 more films from T-Men there's no sign
of the great noir director he would become.
I disagree. I think that it works perfectly as a bridge between fast-talking thirties comedies and Mann's later, darker noir films, as it blends the two genres together. I plan to post a review soon that explores this idea more in depth.
Olive Films added two more Republic noirs not mentioned previously to their slated release:

Hoodlum Empire
With some of these minor films from the Republic library coming out, I hope it's just a matter of time until Cry Vengeance (1954), Crashout (1955), Shack out on 101 (1955) and a correct AR edition of Plunder Road (1957) get release dates.

The Alpha release of For You I Die looks terrible. Man of Courage looks slightly better, but still not very good.

Don't know about 'B-movies', more like Grade Z. But I still find them fascinating as demented artifacts of noir's dissolution by early/mid-sixties.And now for something completely different - Something Weird brings us:

How accurate are the listing for Olive Films on IMDb? Because there are so many films that state "Distributor (2012) (USA) (DVD) (DVD and Blu-ray)"?
The reason I ask is you see films such as
The Dark Mirror
Cry Danger
Caught
Beware my Lovely
Cry Vengeance
and so many more. I don't want to get my hopes up, and I don't see these on the Olive Films website.
