i taped "the big combo "off TMC yesterday even though i already had it, also early morning i taped " the scar". i was dissapointed with the scar, it was the first time i had saw it, had a british noir feel to it(no offence to brit noir lovers, just not for me)
TONIGHT @ 1:00 AM (EST)
DANGER SIGNAL (1945)
![]()
I recorded Danger Signal last night, but my Tivo box is starting to get full. Has anyone seen it? Is it worth watching once?
I've seen it, but I can't remember much. I don't recall really liking it or hating (which I would remember even if I couldn't recall the plot), so I would guess it's somewhere in between. I Dvr'd it too and watched it for 10-15 minutes last night and it looked decent enough. If my DVR wasn't getting full itself, I'd probably watch it again. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
Always subject to change but, at the moment TCM has the following scheduled in January :
The Steel Trap
Hysteria
The Reckless Moment
Caught
First time for both "The Steel Trap" & "The Reckless Moment" as far as I know
Ned
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7th (Eastern Time)
THIS GUN FOR HIRE (1942) - 8:00 PM
THE BLUE DAHLIA (1946) - 9:30 PM
THE POSTMAN ALWAYS RINGS TWICE (1946) - 11:15 PM
THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL (1952) - 1:15 AM
The Steel Trap! Wow. wonder what that one is looking like?
Someone mentioned this above - but TCM has The Reckless Moment in a premiere on Tuesday January 23 at 8 PM. Followed by Caught at 9:30. Seems like there are plenty of noir fans who have yet to see this, so get it on your DVR!
Also, Tomorrow is Another Day, a personal favorite as well as a rarity, is on January 7 at 7:15 AM.
Here's the remaining noir for January on TCM.
The Steel Trap, a rarity, in on the 2nd at 11:15 PM.
The Killer That Stalked NY is on at 2 AM the 9/10th.

The Reckless Moment (1949) makes its premiere on TCM Monday, January 23 8:00pm Eastern. Caught comes on after at 9:30pm. Both directed by Max Ophuls.
Gosh, I hate when TCM goes into 31 Days of Oscar. It's like they take the network off the air for a month.
Yeah TCM does suck during February. However they have had a few new films this year. But it is the usual suspects most of the time.
Wasn't Double Indemnity Oscar nominated in quite a few categories? Or is TCM only showing winners?
Panic In The Streets Today Feb 17/2012 4:15 Eastern Time
Tomorrow at 10PM Eastern The Third Man (1949)
We can infer that the canon we know and love and call "film noir" didn't get a lot of respect from the Academy back then.
Short Notice The Strip with Mickey Rooney as jazz drummer back from Korea and Sally Forest as cigarette girl & gangsters sounds OK on on TCM in a half hour at 5:15 AM. Eastern
