Why this Noir classic hasn't gotten a Criterion release is beyond me.

Be careful what you wish for. Plan 9 From Outer Space is being released on Blu-ray in March. There's something wrong about Ed Wood on Blu-ray or for that matter DVD. Wood should only be on VHS.
I'm looking to see if it's airing as part of TCM's 31 Days of Oscar. Jailbait is listed as noir in Death On The Cheap: The Lost B Movies Of Film Noir which makes me love the book even more.
I guess Plan 9 From Outer Space is what one would consider "so bad it deserves to be on Blu-ray". There is already a Ed Wood box set with all his film from the 50's. I've actually never seen an Ed Wood film in it's entirety, which I know is a shame.
Jailbait at least looks as if it had some production values. ;-) I'd watch it.
i agree philsunset, good point, it just WOOD'nt seem right to have a ed wood movie on anything but vhs(with the cover a little worn and beatup and should be found at calf flea markets only! i actually like 'plan9' and most of his other's, there's a mistiqe about his movies
