With Barbara Stanwyck in Baby Face

Character actor Nat Pendleton usually played the comic relief, often as a dumb hood or cop. His films include The Star Witness (1931), The Beast of the City (1932), and Exposure (1932), in which he was a "maniac killer". Before becoming an actor he had been a professional wrestler, and he played one in Flesh (John Ford, 1932). He was also in Baby Face (1933), Under Cover of Night (1937), Arsène Lupin Returns (1938), the Edmund Lowe Philo Vance pic The Garden Murder Case (1936), Jail House Blues (1942), and The Mad Doctor of Market Street (Joseph H. Lewis, 1942). Not as dumb as he played on screen, Pendleton invested his wrestling earnings and retired early.

Regis Toomey had a friendly face and a soft voice that made him sympathetic, but which also made him a surprising and creepy villain.

    Default Lurene Tuttle (August 29, 1907 - May 28, 1986)

From Wikipedia: Lurene Tuttle was a character actress, who made the transition from vaudeville to radio, and later films and television. Her most enduring impact was as one of network radio's most versatile actresses. Often appearing in 15 shows a week, comedies, dramas, thrillers, soap operas, and crime dramas, she became known as the First Lady of Radio.

On radio's The Adventures of Sam Spade she played just about every female role, as well as Spade's man-hungry secretary Effie Perrine.

She made numerous guest appearances on such shows as John Payne's The Restless Gun, Dragnet, Lux Radio Theater, The Screen Guild Theater and Suspense (in "The Sisters", with Rosalind Russell). In The Whistler she played good and evil twins and used separate microphones to stay in character for each twin.
