John Lupton (August 23, 1928 - November 3, 1993)
Three Came to Kill
Actor John Lupton is best known for playing the title outlaw in the schlocky Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter (1966), which says a lot about his career. Lupton arrived a little late for noir, but managed to appear in the Alan Ladd vehicle The Man in the Net (1959), as well as the beatnik crime film The Rebel Set (1959) and the semi-documentary styled Three Came to Kill (1960). He starred in a number of westerns, and on the TV series Broken Arrow (1956-1958). The image below is from the Adam-12 episode "Assassination", where he plays a man who threatens to immolate himself.
