    After the Civil War,two Confederate soildiers retun home to Texas,Jim McWade(Bill Elliot)and John Wesley Baker(John Carroll)After Baker father(Harry Davenport)is killed by evil carpetbaggers(Albert Dekker/Reed Hadley)Baker forms a gang.
    Jim becomes a lawman and wants to help Baker telling the truth to honest lawmen.
    Both Jim and Baker are in love with Alice Sharp(Catherine McLeod)who loves Baker,but wants him to stop being a outlaw.
    Great Film
    John Carroll steals the show as he did years before in John Waynes Flying Tigers.
