What do we know of Noomi Rapace. the girl with the dragon tattoo who plays with fire and is happy to stir up a hornet's nest if it helps to expose the underbelly of corruption?
Well, one thing's for sure - we know not to mess with her! The bisexual punk 24-year-old Lisbeth Salander, an unforgettable creation, has so far sold 27 million copies worldwide of Stieg Larsson's trilogy and has become the publishing sensation of the second half of the decade.
Releasing all three of the Swedish Millennium Trilogy movies in one year was a brave experiment that has paid off spectacularly well in Europe - almost entirely due to the magnetic screen presence of Noomi in the role of Lisbeth Salander.

Noomi talks about how difficult it was to get inside the character of Lisbeth, a hacker who lives inside her own head and occupies a universe that's different to everyone else with its own moral code. "She doesn't talk to anyone, and she's so in her own universe, so it was quite challenging, and some days I just wanted to scream, because I felt that somebody had tied me up," she says.

Noomi's success has led her to a role with Guy Ritchie directing in Sherlock Holmes 2. The half gypsy/half Swedish actress is pleased to be working with Guy. "I think he's really cool, and I think Snatch is really cool and he has gypsies in it, so we're having a great time," she explains, "It's really fun to be working with those guys, and Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor and Jude Law, and we're having a really good time, it's really fun."
