Mascara's not something I know an awful lot about but I feel duty bound to announce that Hourglass have produced a product they named Film Noir. It comes in only one shade - onyx jet black - and apparently it adds volume, length, lift and separation to lashes - or so the manufacturers claim :



Apparently, it has a really nifty brush that helps you to create that sweeping femme fatale look as the young woman in the image below demonstrates.

It doesn't sound cheap to me at $28, but apparently the effect it creates in men is priceless. You can build in multiple layers because it doesn't clump until you eventually generate that perfect image:
